Could GeekBeerz be making... their OWN game!?

The idea of us making our own game has been around since, well, before we even started GeekBeerz. But now we might (might) actually making one soon!

It would be a long development, and all of our efforts would be needed, but a majority of us are more than willing to do something like this. Questions are how, what, when, where, and why.

What would the game be?

One Idea would be a video game version of one of my most popular Comic book series, Zombies and 4 Morons. A comedy about four not-so-bright friends who get trapped in a ghost town filled with Zombies, and the story continues from there. If made, it would become a new style side scroller.

Idea was brought up only by Tom [me] and Geoff, leaving Shrew and Bergy in the shadows. We'll bring up the larger view of the idea personally to them sometime.

When and why?

It would have to be soon if ever. It would possibly turn out to be a swap-turn project where one person will work on it for a substantial amount of time them eventually give it to someone else to work on. Another idea is specific projects per person, technically a art, animation, sound, and specs guy.

Why? Well why not? It wouldn't be too hard, it's not like we're leaning towards a console game. It would simply be a fun friend project that we hope, in long time, will eventually be praised.

How is unclear, we'll have to figure that out ourselves...

Is this a good idea though? Answer yes or no in the new poll, directly under the last poll. We would be glad to know what everyone else thinks, thanks. [if you want to know what Zombies and 4 Morons is about, please download the free book one at the ZA4M site, the second book comes out in October]

Prototype Developers DEAD... R.I.P

The company that brought you the Prototype games, Radical Entertainment, has literally been Axed personally by Activision. It wasn't Activision's smartest idea but the Prototype games weren't exactly excellent either.

Mostly due to massive layoffs, any remaining members of Radical are now forced into doing other Activision properties. But it is never a good day when a game company dies. This may be as depressing as Sony cancelling Zipper interactive.

Back with News...

Hello guys, it's a me, TOM!
I've been on a week long trip but now I'm back with good news.

On behalf of STAT, "TAD: the Total Achieving Dorks" will be released in August and brought to a major Publishing company!

Why do I bring this up here? Because GeekBeerz is part of it! Many of the ideas for the comic come from GeekBeerz members, so they had their part on it. So when it's available, and potentially published, it will be an official licensed product STAT and GeekBeerz respectively...

When made and published, the front and back covers will be presented with this GeekBeerz symbol:

BUT, it could be this symbol too:

What do I mean by this? It's for you all to decide!
Choose which logo you think will work best for when TAD is made and potentially published! You can choose by the poll to your right, or write your favorite in the comments. The new logo will be called "newbie", and the original logo will be called "classy".

Please take the time to decide, thank you! [to learn more about TAD, please visit STAT or ZA4M in the contributing sites]

The new cover art for season 2 of GBP!

Our Podcast's have been growing as the months continue to pass. While the wait for episode 9 might be a pain, why not check out season two's new cover art?

This was created by me, Tom West. It took approximately 2 1/2 hours to complete. Our new look is an 8-bit style mock of us with video game props and equipment that we actually use for the pod casts. Season 2 is only two episodes so far (including episode 9) but it will conclude on it's seventh episode like the previous season.

Do you like these covers I've made? Please comment...

E3 2012 reveals- PART 8

The conclusion...

Sure there is still a butt load of games to be mentioned, we also have to give input on the new Unreal Engine 4, but overall I believe we are officially done with E3 excitements, especially since it ended a week ago.

To recap, Nintendo easily had the best conference this year, which means they essentially won yet again. Sure most were not pleased by how the Wii U was presented, mostly due to the recycle of everything we knew of the Wii U last year, but despite it's still nice to know a legit Next-gen console will actually be coming out soon. Sony is said to have second best, or the best by those who disliked Nintendo's conference. Sony had Wonderbook, Battle royale, tons of Vita games, and Last of Us to truly get people upbeat. Microsoft is considered third place by a majority, sure they had Smart Glass and Halo 4 but that's about it. Any other news spreconed is either multi-console games or Kinect crap. What was your favorite conference? Did any announcements of games or accessories get you excited?
